Platinum blonde hair color with all of it's eye-popping appeal, also has it's down-side.
Maintenance =
#1- EXPENSE & regular salon appointments (unless you are going for the ever so current & edgy look of dark roots, which I really love the look of)
#2- DAILY MOISTURIZING HAIR CARE products to avoid breakage which is going to happen if you plan to wear it in a longer style until it grows out. I recommend Redken Anti-Snap Leave-In Treatment.
Otherwise, if you keep it short then no worries but to keep it shiny & healthy you are gonna want to invest in quality salon products.
#3- A GOOD FLAT IRON because the cuticle becomes very roughed up when hair is lightened to this degree. To have shiny hair you must have a super smooth cuticle layer on each strand of hair. Consider that heavily lightened hair, when it's dry will be a bit fly-away or frizzy (especially at the ends), so smoothing down the cuticle of the hair with hot tools like curling irons or flat irons will be the key to create the hollywood mega-shine platinum blondes you see on starlets on the red carpet & models in magazines.
#4- A STICK to fight off all the guys clamoring all of a sudden for your attention, because platinum blonde hair is perhaps the rarest & most coveted hair color the world over, when it comes to the male persuasion;)
